In 100 days, over three summers, Canadians
Jeff MacInnis and Mike Beedell accomplished
the first wind-powered crossing of the Northwest Passage. The 2,500 mile west-to-east journey took them from Inuvik in the Northwest Territories to Pond Inlet on Baffin Island. Their unlikely vehicle was a stock
Hobie 18 catamaran.
